DESCRIPTION:Speakers: David Macleod (CHPC)\nThe introduction of cloud serv
 ices in NICIS created new opportunities\, but for these opportunities to b
 e realised changes in mindset are required for the organisation. This pres
 entation discusses the change in mindset and what this means for how NICIS
  manages its cloud service.\n \nIn response to the new mindset NICIS is bu
 ilding a localised cloud platform. The localised cloud platform establishe
 s a team of cloud experts in NICIS to design and support a reference cloud
  architecture using open-source software. Work to date on the localised cl
 oud platform will be presented along with the announcement of a new zone o
 f Sebowa that will be available for public use early next year.\n \nThe pr
 esentation will end with a discussion on the work underway in the developm
 ent cloud and with input being solicited from the audience as to what they
