DESCRIPTION:This online course will introduce African HPC users to the sys
tems at the CHPC and help you develop practical skills in using the cluste
r for your scientific work. Attendees will learn the basics of using the C
HPC Lengau cluster along with how to convert the computational intensive p
arts of their scientific workflow into a job script suitable for the CHPC.
The Practical HPC course is 2 weeks long and will need about 4 hours per
day. The first week is guided self-study and the second week has daily pra
 ctical sessions each afternoon.\n\nSyllabus:\n\nWeek 1 — Self-study:\n\n

st 3 sections of the PRACE Supercomputing MOOC provide the necessary found
ational information and concepts for the Practical HPC course.\n\n\n\nPRAC
E Supercomputing MOOC\n\n\nThis MOOC is a focused introduction to High Per
formance Computing and the prerequisite for the CHPC Practical HPC online
course. This course is 5 sections long and requires around 2 hours per sec
tion. The first 3 sections are needed for the CHPC Winter School that foll
