Description

The Research Data Management Framework strategy is proposed in this case study. This RDM strategy will be rolled out at the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg (Wits University), South Africa to promote Open and FAIR/CARE Data Principles among postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows, early career researchers, and established researchers to comply with the University's RDM policy. The purpose of the case study is to intervene, advocate, and influence the development, and adoption of the Wits Data Vault, and the use of the RDM Framework. This will also ensure the digital curation of datasets supporting publications and theses, and a commitment to open digital cooperation to support the academic project. Ensuring the digital curation of datasets will significantly enhance the accessibility and longevity of Wits research datasets and be crucial for fostering collaboration and innovation within the research community.
