 al Research (CSIR) and funded by the Department of Science and Innovation 
 (DSI).\n\nThe CHPC invites applications from suitably qualified candidat
 es to enter the CHPC Student Cluster Competition. The CHPC Student Cluster
  Competition gives students at universities across Africa exposure to the 
 High Performance Computing (HPC) Industry.\n\nThe competition is open to a
 ll students enrolled in a computer science related undergraduate or postgr
 aduate degree.\n\nIf you are applying from an institution from within Sout

 on\n\nThe competition is designed to impart critical knowledge for buildin
 g a cluster\, this includes: using Linux systems\, the basic software stac
 k of a cluster and cluster design. The competition concludes with an assig
 nment which requires each team to build a prototype cluster in the Cloud.\
 n\nThe competition will run from Friday 23 July to Friday 24 September an
 d will be hosted online.\n\nThere are no fees for successful applicants.\n
