DESCRIPTION:CHPC - DARA Linux and Python Training Partnership\n\nThe CHPC 
 will be conducting a two-weeks virtual computer training for selected stu
 dents of Development in Africa Radio Astronomy (DARA) project within SKA s
 pecified partner countries. In particular\, Botswana\, Kenya\, Ghana\, Mad
 agascar\, Mozambique\, Namibia and Zambia\, respectively. Students backgro
 und is in natural science (e.g. Physics\, Mathematics\, Statistics etc). T
 he computer syllabus covers a week on introduction to Linux and bash scri
 pting\, and the other week on Python programming for Science and Engineer
 ing. It is a requirement that selected DARA students must attend this comp
 uter training before they can do anything related to radio Astronomy. The 
 training utilizes the existing clusters of PCs that have been delivered by
  DARA and African VLBI Network\, all of which have the same Linux set-up a
 nd Astronomy software on them installed by HartRAO.\n\nAll selected studen
 ts by DARA from Botswana\, Ghana\, Kenya\, Namibia\, Maputo\, Madagscar an
 d Zambia to join this Virtual computer training from\n\n18 to 29 Octobe
 r 2021\;\n\nhosted by CHPC\, South Africa.\n\nStudent must register for t
 he computer course by Friday\,  15 October 2021. All registered student
 s will be enrolled on CHPC moodle platform to access the course material.\
