SITA - CHPC Internship 2025 / 2026

Supported by the Center for High Performance Computing (CHPC), a division of the National Cyber Infrastructure Systems (NICIS) of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR)

and in partnership with the State Information Technology Agency (SITA).

The CHPC invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the 2025 /2026 SITA - CHPC full-time internship intake in order to fulfill SITA's need for skilled talent in the fields of IT, computer science, data science, cyber security and related fields.

The internships will last for a period of 12 months, aligned with the financial year. Post-internship, selected interns may be converted to trainees, with a further training period of up to 2 years.

Internship placements will be located within SITA offices or remote work options, depending on the requirements of the role.

A monthly stipend will be provided to each intern based on their qualifications and experience.

Eligibility Requirements:

In order for your application to be considered:

• You must have previously participated at the CHPC Student Cluster Competition (National Round),
• You must have completed your Bachelor's degree (or 3-year National Diploma in ICT or applicable STEM related field at NQF level 6),
• You must NOT be currently employed,
• You must NOT have previously participated in an internship program.
