The NEMO modelling framework is used in this study. Nesting in the model is implemented with the AGRIF interface in a two-way nesting mode. The nested model can be run as a test on a computer with 8 processors but an increase in vertical and horizontal resolution requires more cores. MPI is used in this study to run the model in parallel and evenly distribute memory. XIOS is also used to set-up the configuration and control input and large output produced by the model.
